Infant Formula and Quality

When it comes to infant nutrition, quality is paramount. According to regulatory bodies around the world and the guidance of global health-care professional groups such as the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), infant formula must be formulated so that it can provide sole source nutrition for infants. The same stringent guidelines for safety, quality, and nutritional compliance must be met by all infant formula companies in the countries in which they market their products.

In the United States, Perrigo Nutritionals is one of only four companies recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for meeting the strict FDA requirements for safety, nutrition, and quality for infant formula manufacturing.

The Perrigo Nutritionals testing laboratory conducts approximately 20,000 tests per month and meets the rigorous standards of leading international certification organizations. Perrigo Nutritionals has achieved superior ratings in process design, quality management, manufacturing controls and continuous improvement.
